Aileen Gallagher is an associate professor of journalism at the Newhouse School, as well as an alumna. Prior to joining the faculty in 2010, Aileen was a senior editor at New York Magazine’s award-winning website, NYMag.com. She is the education editor for MediaShift and writes about culture and other topics for outlets such as Slate, Cosmo.com, Bust, Vulture, and Salon. Her research interests are in digital editorial and journalism education.
